This drive-through food vendor's paradise gives its audience what it has been craving for over a year, and that is an outdoor dining experience with fried delectability that reminds us all of our favorite amusement parks. Oh man, I have missed the Pomona fair's bbq ribs, burgers, turkey legs, and hot kettle corn filling the air with its succulent sweet aroma of deliciousness. The team member handing out maps didn't leave much space for cars so she could only talk to 1 car at a given time and it was pretty dangerous queuing and dangling out to the already narrow street.Ī Night at the Rose Bowl Pasadena, Califas! It felt like everything was very organized, but the very front of the line where you enter the parking lot was kind of a mess, not everything was set up just yet so the only way in was from a specific direction into the parking lot.
#Foodie roos pro
My pro tip was to bring a big flat box as a tray to carry everything otherwise it would have been food items scattered throughout the car and that would have been a mess. I was able to get the turkey leg booth/truck, the corndog and curly fry tower truck, we wanted a fried cheesecake but they were out and we got something else instead. The workers were all masked and gloved up and they had wireless POS terminals so it was really organized and contactless. Most of the food items were ready to go so it was fast but a few items that we ordered like the curly fry tower took some time and we caused a bottle neck. All the stations were spaced out enough where it could accommodate a line and you could weave in/out of the main passing lanes. We were somewhat near the front of the pack and we were able to go to all the locations we wanted to. I got tickets online weeks in advance but who knows if that was really necessary or not but we got there maybe 10-15 minutes before the start time and it was perfect.

I was expecting really long lines and and just a bad time overall but it was the opposite. The Drive Thru Foodie Fest at the Rose Bowl was surprisingly a really fun experience.
